The Message That I Would Like To Share With You All Is… | #Shorts #cerebralpalsy

he message that I would like to share with you all is… Never make the mistake that I did and don’t be afraid of what other people are going  to think or say about you. It does not matter if you have a disability or not, we are all different in our own ways.I think if you care about what other people think or say about you then you won’t get very far in life!

The Reality Of An Adult With Cerebral Palsy Waking Up From Her Lifechanging Surgery | #Shorts

The reality of waking up after surgery! This was my 24th surgery that I have had done though out my little and it is so crazy to me that when you go under anesthesia, you don’t remember falling asleep or going into the operating room but you can still remember the conversation that you were having before the surgery. For example before I went into surgery I told everyone that I was documenting my surgery journey and the first words out of my mouth when I woke up was where is my camera. I am sharing this because life, having a disability and even social media is not always sunshine and rainbows, what I mean by that is it may look or seem like everyone is perfect and not going through any challenges in their life but in reality no one is perfect and you never know what other people are going through in their own lives!

Adult with Cerebral Palsy Takes Her First Steps 3 Days After Surgery | #shorts #cerebralpalsy

From walking in crutches to starting over and relearning how to walk again after having my surgery! It is so crazy how different the videos of me walking before the surgery then the video of me taking my first steps, only 3 days after having my surgery but to be honest with you all taking my first in my old lady walker was very nerve racking and scary for me but I did it anyway. I guess the message I am trying to get across is even though something could be nerve racking or scary for you, just remember to never give up!

Adult With Cerebral Palsy Gets Casted For An AFO Brace | How It Works | #shorts #cerebralpalsy

Have you ever wondered how AFO braces were made? It is actually a really cool and interesting process. The first thing that they do is they put a long sock on my leg and then they cut it to fit my leg. Once they cut the sock then they take a sharpie marker and mark where the straps for the brace are going to go. Once they mark where the straps are going to go then, they take a peace of plastic witch is kind of like a level and they wrap fiberglass around the peace of plastic and my leg to make the brace. I am sharing this because wearing a brace on my leg or anything that makes me look different except my wheelchair, is one of my biggest fears and I want you all to face your own fears, no matter what your fear is! #cerebralpalsy #disability #physicalchallenge #afobrace

Adult With CP Walks On The Treadmill For The First Time Months After Having Her Foot Surgery#shorts

From walking on the treadmill for 20 minutes a day with a crooked foot to starting over again after having my life changing surgery! I only did five minutes on a treadmill because my plan is to do as much as I can for longer periods every time I do it, so I did five minutes today then the next time I do it I'm gonna do 10 minutes and then 15 minutes and then 20 minutes and then 25 minutes and so on. I thought I would share we do to get my body stronger and not only back to where I was before which I'm pretty much there but stronger than I was before. I started Physical Therapy about two weeks after my surgery and I've made a lot of progress and I’m so excited to share it with you all. As you can see the first machine that I am using in physical therapy is kind of like a squat machine and it is used to help me build muscle back into the lake that I had surgery on and the second machine is kind of like a bicycle and it is used to help me learn how to use my individual mussels, so that I can walk up stairs easier. By sharing this because I hope to motivate and inspire others challenge themselves and try something new!
